Bendix Special Stop
This is a special stop for special service trains to South Bend. There are three 8 car unloading
places along this street, where special trains stop to unload passengers. The passengers are
then taken by coach to their final destination in South Bend, usually Notre Dame stadium. This
stop relieves the burden on the South Bend Airport station, where the high level platforms can
only serve two cars per side, and connections to charter coaches would be a problem.
